Word From a Lifetime Ago
This afternoon in a discussion at our dinner table, I was reminded of some very familiar words from a lifetime ago...
"There are lessons to be learned from nature, lessons about the purpose of our lives.
Some days the world seems peaceful & serene. Then sudden storms arise.
One day we bask in happiness. The next brings heartache & uncertainty.
After the storm, light & hope return again. So it is with life.
Rain and shadow and sun each have part in helping us learn the lessons which our Heavenly Father sent us here to learn. Our lives do have purpose. God provided this beautiful world for us, His children. He has sent His Son to show us the way. The teachings of the prophets and the life and ministry of the Savior, as recorded in the scriptures, give direction in our search for happiness.
They offer hope in a world of change and uncertainty."
