Let it Snow!

Dashing through the storm drain
In a 4.0L Jeep
O'er the desert we go
Splashing all the way....

Christmas Eve at our house was wet...very wet, which meant the Hualapai's became white...very white with snow!!!

We have always just enjoyed looking at the snow covered Hualapai mountains from the comfort of our car as we traveled around town but with the hopes that we would experience a white Christmas everyone was more interested in taking a field trip up the mountain to see the snow up close.

Up close is exactly what my two snow babies did...

Sarah & Elizabeth have always enjoyed snow on a much more personal level than the rest of the family. They are happiest when they can lay in it and roll around, so it was no surprise once we got out of the parking lot Sarah & Elizabeth dove into the snow!

We had a fun filled afternoon throwing snowballs, tromping through deep sections of snow & gathering icicles.

But once the kiddos had wet pant legs & frozen toes they were ready to head home. Poor little Jacob was adamant that he did not want to wear snow boots and thus kept loosing his tennis shoe in the snow because it wouldn't stay velcroed (who knew Velcro does not work when it gets caked with snow).

As usual I  most enjoyed the time together out enjoying, exploring and discovering the beauties of God's creations. Although I was most grateful that Paul was along to do the driving on the slushy roads with all of the other sunny Arizona drivers.

No matter how old I get, the little southern California girl in me still finds snow to be oh, so magical!!
