Doing What They Love Best

I have come to quite enjoy going to Elizabeth & Rachel's cross country meets (especially when they are running at the same meet) but their siblings don't typically enjoy it quite as much. However they are much more willing to go (and with a good attitude) when they get to do what they love best...
 

Be by the lake to get wet on a hot day, throw some rocks...

 
...play with friends!
 

We are grateful for friends who have siblings the ages of Elizabeth & Rachel who also run cross country...


Because everything is better for momma when the kiddos are happy...
 

...even if they are getting wet & sandy!

  Grateful for milestones that bring family together...Last Saturday my brothers and I gathered to celebrate our Dad's 80th birthday!!! After 80 years on earth my Dad's body continues to be strong (mostly) while his memory continues to fade. For a man who is a planner and organizer he struggles to live in the moment and be content...I guess when you don't have current memories to reflect on, you dream and imagine your future. Inspite of his current reality we enjoyed a few hours celebrating together, laughing, sharing and watching him relive his glory days with near clarity. Watching him watch himself play football and talk and share about the players and the plays brought out part of my Dad that has been hidden for years!

80 Years Loved

  There are moments in life when you realize just how blessed you are... celebrating my mom's 80th birthday recently was one of those moments!! Over the years we have moved away from one another, haven't always stayed in close contact with everyone but being together I felt the love that comes from being family! To my mom family is everything and it is her love for us individually that radiates and unites those around her! My mom is a little energizer bunny sharing, serving, living, loving, experiencing, adventureing and enjoying every moment of every day! She definitely is not 80 years old but 80 years loved!!! And on her way to many more!! From three awesome Andruski kids... ...to this beautiful bunch... ... combined 17 years ago with the Browns makes for a wonderful group of great people to love one special lady!   Feeling all the feels today as we send Rachel on her way to serve the Lord as one of His full-time missionaries for the next 18 months, sharing His love and the message of His restored gospel to the people in the Ohio Columbus Mission!!!
