Celebrating with the Strongs
When the summer was approaching I wanted nothing more than to have a summer that was relaxing and mostly spent at home here in Kingman. But alas, there was a celebration happening up north that we felt we should be a part of. . . Grandma Great's 90th birthday!
It is not everyday that a wonderful matriarch turns 90 and wants or needs nothing more than to have three generations for her posterity surrounding her. We are so glad that we were able to be apart of Great Grandma Strong's 90th birthday celebration!
On this same day we were also able to be there to witness our sweet niece, Kate, be baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints.
There were other celebrations with the Strong family during our trip; they may not be milestones in ones life but they were little moments that I was happy we could be a part of . . .
Cousins becoming the best of friends .
Cousins, aunts, uncles, & grandparents laughing so hard as they "face swapped" on snap chat.
Little boys discovering the irrigation ditch in front of grandma & grandpa's house. Using the "fishy catcher" to try to catch a fish that wasn't there.
And for the moments that weren't caught on film: a wonderful 4th of July celebration complete with a walk to get shaved ice, an evening at the park & an unforgettable homemade firework show (sorry Grandma that Paul burnt your britches).
Thank you Strong's for letting us come and celebrate with you!
