Just Enjoy

Oh, how life has a tendency to move on without me sometimes, only to then spend many hours trying to play catch-up. In the process of playing catch-up I become exhausted and all I want to do it sit on the couch and overdose on Netflix or mindlessly surf the internet or peruse Facebook. In this vicious cycle I call "life" I cherish those moments when I can step away from responsibilities &  technology & just ENJOY. That is what we did, oh about 2 months ago for Labor Day.  The kids were out of school, Paul was off of work & I wanted to get out of the house & out of the heat!

We spent the day exploring Dogtown Lake near Williams, AZ, and I did ENJOY!

 

I enjoyed watching my kiddos have fun together.

I enjoyed the fresh crisp cool air.

I enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

I enjoyed the smell of the pine trees.

I enjoyed a picnic lunch by the lake.

I enjoyed seeing the smiles on kiddos faces after much complaining.

I enjoyed seeing all the wildflowers.

I enjoyed taking a leisurely walk around the lake.

I enjoyed watching my boys do what they love best, skipping rocks!

I enjoyed watching the boys teach the girls how to skip rocks.

I enjoyed seeing all the "treasures" we found along the way, even the dried-up blue crawdads.

I enjoyed the idea of no one staring at a glowing screen. 

Most of all,
as usual,
I simply enjoyed out time making memories together!
