Fairy Forrest
During the kiddos two week fall break we headed north to Utah, to spend some quality time with the Grandparents. During our visit with Grandma Sue we drove to the Unita mountains to see if we could locate, explore & contribute to the Fairy Forrest. With three fairy loving girls in my family this seemed to be the perfect place to spend an afternoon. I had learned about the Fairy Forrest from a post I saw on Facebook a while ago. It did not disappoint.
It was an eclectic collection of mostly painted rocks & other assorted objects that were to represent fairy houses. After browsing a bit we located a spot we would call "home" and set to work; first creating a "fairy ring" so no goblins could get in and harm our fairies. Then each family member began to let their creative juices flow.
While the girls took their sweet time, the boys found a river near by to throw rocks, it was perfect! A truly splendid beautiful fall afternoon in the mountains.
Paul's fairy house - I'm thinking it looks perfect for a "tinker fairy"
Jacob's contribution
This is my cute little house complete with a Grandma rock by Grandma Sue
John's fairy dwelling
Sarah's little village
Elizabeth's home, all ready for a party!
So sad, I don't have a picture of Rachel's house
So all the neighbors would know who lived here.
There is plenty of room for more in our "circle" so we will be back!
