Thank you . . .

Nearly 40 years ago I was blessed
 to be held & cuddled for the first time 
by the woman who would have the greatest influence in my life . . .
. . . my Mom!
 
Thank you for teaching me to look both ways
before crossing the street.
Thank you for letting me climb trees.
Thank you for letting me make & eat mud pies.
Thank you for making me drink my milk.
Thank you for letting me drink the Kool-Aid out of the pitcher.
Thank you for eating my crust.
Thank you for letting me rearrange & rearrange &
rearrange my room.
Thank you for making cookies!
Thank you for helping me to have good friends.
Thank you for being my Girl Scout leader.
Thank you for your example of faithfully attending the temple.
Thank you for allowing me to try new things.
Thank you for teaching me to love the outdoors.
Thank you for instilling in me a love of learning.
Thank you for sewing each of my high school dance formals.
Thank you for showing me that church attendance is a priority.
Thank you for being home when I came home from school.
Thank you for being supportive of my decisions.
Thank you for teaching me how to put my heart
into something I love.
Thank you for allowing me to develop my talents.
Thank you for your example of forgiveness.
Thank you for being an awesome traveling companion.
Thank you for being my cheerleader.
Thank you for always being patient with me.
Thank you for caring more about the conversation
than the phone bill.
Thank you for teaching me that it is OK to eat dessert first.
Thank you for trusting me.
Thank you for instilling in me a love for my ancestors.
Thank you for your example of service to others.
Thank you for teaching me how to love & swaddle a fussy baby.
Thank you for teaching me that kids are washable.
Thank you for teaching me how to make a fabulous birthday cake.
Thank you for showing me that family is important.
Thank you for teaching me the truth in the phrase,
"and it came to pass."
Thank you for being the best grandma a mom
could want for her children.
Thank you for your example of going where you are called to serve.
Thank you for always speaking kindly to me & about me.
Thank you for loving me unconditionally.
Thank you Mom for accepting the responsibility to be a mother.
Thank you for being my Mom!

I just read your mother's day blog. Thank you. This was the dearest mother's day present I could receive.You brought back so many, many dear memories. We had lots of fun together and special moments. Thank you so much for remembering and especially thank you for letting me know. I love you so much. I just tried to be a good Mom. thank you so much.
