Twinners!

This past week we celebrated the birth of my twins!
Well, they aren't really "twins" and they weren't just born . . .

. . . they do share the same birthday, just two years apart; Rachel turned 11 & John turned 9.

The day was relatively simple; make cookies for Rachel,

. . . finish decorating a cake for John, donuts to John's class at school (Rachel didn't want birthday treats brought to her class), wrap presents, store bought stuffed crust pizza for dinner . . .

. . . open presents, light candles, sing happy birthday, blow out candles & eat cake!

Thankfully they have always thought it fun to share a birthday.

I have noticed over the years that these two have a special bond - Rachel has always been able to interact & reach John in a way that no one else can and John has always responded in a positive & attentive way to her. Perhaps they really are twins?

Happy birthday my dear sweet Rachel & my tender hearted John!
