Never A Dull Moment

By the end of each day I fall into bed exhausted and a bit bewildered as to why I am so tired when I did not accomplish half of the things on my to-do list. The other day as I was uploading pictures from my camera into the computer I realized why I am so tired all of the time . . . I have 5 kiddos one of which is a two year old!

Looks like Jacob has been here . He needs to learn is he is going to sneak thing from the pantry to not leave evidence behind.

I saw out of the corner of my eye a creepy crawly on the floor. Wow! that is a big spider I thought to myself.  When I went over to smoosh it, I discovered it was Paul's missing crab from the fish tank. We had been missing him for 2 weeks!  Jacob LOVED watching it dance across the floor as he tried to touch it.

I walked into the kitchen one morning after the kids had eaten breakfast to find Kix covering the floor. Jacob sure looked guilty. I learned later that John was the culprit; he was tossing the Kix in the air trying to catch them in his mouth. I think he missed?

Ooooo! Yummy! Cookies!
I can see it in his eyes, Uh, oh! I've been caught!

The other day while I was sorting laundry I heard Jacob in the kitchen. When I went to check on him, he was standing on a chair to reach the counter, a sharp kitchen knife in his hand with the blade in John's birthday cake. There were birthday candles & the lighter on the counter with a plate & a fork. When he saw me he said, "Cake?!" as he handed me the candles. We have had enough birthday's recently that he knew just how things were supposed to go. The amazing thing is he did this all by himself.

Later in the week I heard a crashing noise as I was putting clothes away in his bedroom. I went to find the cause of the crash only to discover Jacob was standing on Sarah's dresser. The crash was caused when he pushed all the things covering the top of the dresser onto the floor. When I asked what he was doing, "Gum" came his reply as he pointed to a pack of gum three shelves up on her hutch. Thankfully I caught him before he tried to climb up the hutch.

There is never a dull moment with this little cutie around!

Humm-just be assured, most children grow up to be adults. He is giving you a run for your money as the saying goes. His last picture, he looks a lot like John.
