Thanksgiving with the Andruski's
Thanksgiving this year took us to Phelan, CA to spend time with the Andruski's. There is at least one person in each family who has a love for rock hounding, so Mike led us on an expedition near Calico for rock crystals.
We led us up a wash, that I overheard someone say led to the "crystal waterfall". I had never seen anything like it. You could pull flat chunks of crystals right out of the side of the hills. The kiddos were excited to fill their backpacks with "treasures".
It was a gorgeous, fun day to spend with cousins.
Jacob is a real trooper, as he walked almost the whole way; up and over rocks. Things that were a step up/down for us, he was climbing on hands and knees to scale the miniature boulders.
As Kasey worked hard to prepare a yummy meal for us all, Grandma Sue kept the grandkids busy building cups towers. The kids were given a challenge to complete in hopes to builder the biggest & strongest tower.
Kylie came out the big winner! I see an engineering career in her future! Thank you Grandma Sue for supplying the cups!
Our time together is precious as we don't get together with the Andruski's near often enough. Seeing 14/15 grandkids together in one place is truly something to be thankful for!
Happy Thanksgiving!
