A First . . .

Two weekends ago I did something I have never done before . . .
 
 
 . . . had a girls weekend with my three beautiful daughters and my wonderful mother.
 
Grandma Sue had invited us to meet her in St. George, UT to see a musical production of The Little Mermaid at Tuachan. No boys invited, just us girls!
 

My girls were sooooo excited to see Grandma and to get to spend time with her.  They became expert at taking turns as to who got to sit by Grandma and who got to sleep with Grandma.  In the end we learned that Grandma has room for everyone because she has three sides; a right, a left and a lap.  Good thing I only have three girls and one is still little enough to sit on a lap.


I would like to think that my girls enjoyed the time they got to spend with me too! With two less kiddos around they were sure to get more of my love, patience and attention.


Thank You Grandma Sue for a fun weekend.  We look forward to doing it again!

  Grateful for milestones that bring family together...Last Saturday my brothers and I gathered to celebrate our Dad's 80th birthday!!! After 80 years on earth my Dad's body continues to be strong (mostly) while his memory continues to fade. For a man who is a planner and organizer he struggles to live in the moment and be content...I guess when you don't have current memories to reflect on, you dream and imagine your future. Inspite of his current reality we enjoyed a few hours celebrating together, laughing, sharing and watching him relive his glory days with near clarity. Watching him watch himself play football and talk and share about the players and the plays brought out part of my Dad that has been hidden for years!

80 Years Loved

  There are moments in life when you realize just how blessed you are... celebrating my mom's 80th birthday recently was one of those moments!! Over the years we have moved away from one another, haven't always stayed in close contact with everyone but being together I felt the love that comes from being family! To my mom family is everything and it is her love for us individually that radiates and unites those around her! My mom is a little energizer bunny sharing, serving, living, loving, experiencing, adventureing and enjoying every moment of every day! She definitely is not 80 years old but 80 years loved!!! And on her way to many more!! From three awesome Andruski kids... ...to this beautiful bunch... ... combined 17 years ago with the Browns makes for a wonderful group of great people to love one special lady!   Feeling all the feels today as we send Rachel on her way to serve the Lord as one of His full-time missionaries for the next 18 months, sharing His love and the message of His restored gospel to the people in the Ohio Columbus Mission!!!
