Wait . . .What . . .Summer is Over?

I am interrupting the previously scheduled posts of our summer vacation to let you all know that summer is over!  To the disbelief of many, I am rather sad about this.

For the first time . . . ever, our summer went by way too fast.  We had settled in nicely to a "summer schedule" and were enjoying life at a slower more relaxed pace.  And most days I actually enjoyed having my kids around;  my house didn't, but I did.

Elizabeth is in 7th grade, Rachel 5th, John 2nd, Sarah 1st & Jacob gets Mommy all to himself.

As of today they kiddos have been back to school for a whole week.  That means we have had five days of early mornings, lunches to make, carpools to figure out, mommy bus routes to navigate, reminders to do homework & nagging to get to bed.  But it also means that I have 2 two trips to the grocery store with only one shopping companion and 15 hours of peace and quiet (while Jacob naps of course. Yep that means he naps for 3 hours a day. Heaven!). My laundry actually got washed, folded & put away before it was time to start washing again. I even have some time in my day to spend playing with Jacob. Maybe I could get used to this after all.

Despite the homework starting already, we are off to another good school year!
