John's Perfect Day . . .

To reinforce to John that getting baptized was a big deal and a special day for him we decided that we would spend the remainder of the day doing what John loves to do most . . .

 

. . . throwing rocks in the river!

 

We knew he was super excited and looking forward to this because as soon as we said, "amen" for the closing prayer at his baptism he said, "We go to the lake?"

 

We had a number of family members travel to Kingman to support John's decision to be baptized, so we invited all of them to join us.  First we enjoyed a pizza picnic, then we let the cousins play & the grown-ups visited a bit.

Some enjoyed splashing around in the water. (It was a hot day, so the cold water felt great!)

Others joined John in throwing rocks. Walker was more into "dropping" the rocks.  He would grab the biggest rock he could find and drop them right in front of his belly.  I am surprised he didn't land one on his toes.

A few enjoyed chilling in the shade watching the boats and wave runners zoom by.

And still others gave the playground a whirl.

No matter the activity, (I think), everyone had a great time being together.
