Moments That Made Momma Smile
Over the past month or so there have been many times that I find myself smiling as the sight I see before me. Let me share a few, OK several:
After church one Sunday, Sarah wanted to have a tea party.
It was a great sight to see four cute kids enjoying being together on a beautiful sunny day. If my memory serves me right, they played beautifully the rest of the afternoon together outside.
John at the 1st grade robot parade
It is hard to capture a "true" smile from John in a picture. I received a little gift that day as I captured his infectious smile; his whole face is smiling!
Jacob + Oreos
How can a mother not love this sweet face?
Guilty!
One morning, I caught Elizabeth cold handed eating ice cream out of the carton.
Jacob has learned a new trick . . .
One night while watching a movie he taught himself how to climb onto the coffee table. And there he would sit for a moment to watch the show, then climb off and repeat the process. He did this about 50 gazillion times until his little arms grew tired.
A sneaky thief!
While Elizabeth was opening her birthday presents, Jacob quietly snuck over rummaged through the already open gifts and found this chocolate bar. Without Elizabeth noticing he proceeded to walk away with it, with good intentions to eat every last piece. When it was taken from him and returned to Elizabeth's stash, he snuck over and once again walked off with the chocolate bar undetected by the birthday girl.
Look, twins!
It hasn't happened in several years but for awhile everywhere I went I would get asked if Elizabeth & Rachel were twins. Then the other morning I noticed them in the kitchen making their lunches . . .they do look like twins!
After enjoying birthday cake on Sunday, Paul was in the kitchen cleaning up (fabulous I know, he does it a lot. I know I am lucky). When I walked by this is what I saw . . .
If it works to get cake crumbs off the floor, the why not the table?
Who needs dress-up clothes?
Sarah has never been one to wear all of those pretty princess dresses, but she loves to play dress-up with blankets and dish towels!
I think I will love this picture forever . . . it lets their personalities shine!
And captures their sweet relationship beautifully. Rachel so patient while John . . is . . . well, John!
It is in these moments that I find myself feeling so very blessed!
