ChristmasTraditions: Part 3

In order to enjoy our "traditional" cinnamon rolls for breakfast on Christmas morning, Paul spends some time on Christmas Eve making cinnamon rolls. 
 

Yes, Paul is the cinnamon roll maker around our house. It came about because years ago when he would ask for cinnamon rolls often but unfortunately I rarely found the time to make them.  He got tired of waiting around for me to make them, so he taught himself to make them.  After many attempts he has perfected the recipe and now I don't even attempt to make them (except the frosting, that's my job) because Paul's are soooo good!

  Grateful for milestones that bring family together...Last Saturday my brothers and I gathered to celebrate our Dad's 80th birthday!!! After 80 years on earth my Dad's body continues to be strong (mostly) while his memory continues to fade. For a man who is a planner and organizer he struggles to live in the moment and be content...I guess when you don't have current memories to reflect on, you dream and imagine your future. Inspite of his current reality we enjoyed a few hours celebrating together, laughing, sharing and watching him relive his glory days with near clarity. 80 Years Loved

  There are moments in life when you realize just how blessed you are... celebrating my mom's 80th birthday recently was one of those moments!! Over the years we have moved away from one another, haven't always stayed in close contact with everyone but being together I felt the love that comes from being family! To my mom family is everything and it is her love for us individually that radiates and unites those around her! My mom is a little energizer bunny sharing, serving, living, loving, experiencing, adventureing and enjoying every moment of every day! She definitely is not 80 years old but 80 years loved!!! And on her way to many more!!
