Jacob: 8 months old
At 8 months old Jacob is keeping us on our toes . . . and bringing so much adventure to our normally chaotic house. Let's see where to begin . . .
Jacob loves electric cords & night lights. He loves to follow the cord along as I vacuum.
He loves his tongue. Sometimes I wonder if he thinks he is a puppy instead of a baby.
He loves to mouth anything metal (it feels good on those sore gums, you know). He has discovered the endless fun of the dishwasher.
He loves open the kitchen cabinets . . .
. . . and close them. It is the best game of peek-a-boo around. He loves to reach for the things inside the cupboards; not to self: I need to remind Paul to put those child locks on. Last week he broke the blender & tonight he was after the dishwasher detergent squares.
Jacob doesn't like to be locked out of places. He thinks he good looks will charm his way past the gate.
He loves to go for rides in the ball tote, or any other container for that matter.
His big brother has learned that he likes cars too, to chew on at least. . . John's solution: put him in a bucket of baby toys. Too bad it doesn't work for long.
And despite not liking baby food any more, refusing to take a bottle while I am occasionally out, loving to nurse any chance he can, learning to cry with a binki in his mouth, doing flips while getting his diaper changed, and waking up at 5am, I love this little boy! I am beginning to see how he is the blessing that Heavenly Father promised me he would be.
