The last couple of weeks of pregnancy were very uncomfortable and I was wishing he would be born any day. I had a doctor's appointment Tuesday afternoon, where we scheduled a time to be induced that Friday (the 18th).  I went straight from the doctor's appointment to pick up Sarah and Grandma at home and the other kids early from school to take all of the kids to the dentist.  While we were at the dentist waiting for my kids to get their teeth cleaned my water broke while I made a visit to the ladies room. We called Paul at work to come pick me up.  I was greatful there were no other patients in the waiting room with us.  Looking back I'm glad the kids had this appointment otherwise I would have been picking them up from school when my water broke, Yikes!  I think Paul was a little schocked because I had spoke with him on the phone about an hour earlier to let him know of the plans for Friday's induction.  He came and got me from the dentist and we drove across the street to the hospital.  Walking into the emergency room at the hospital with wet pants was a bit embarrassing.

The nurses and doctors took wonderful care of us and about four hours after my water broke we were holding a sweet dark haired little baby boy.

I am so excited to see this post! How fun that your water broke, I always thought that would be an exciting way to go into labor. Never happened to me. But I guess a bit embarrassing too. He is a beautiful baby. I'm sure the kids can't get enough of him. Get some rest and keep posting updates so I hear how you're adjusting. Wish you were in town, we're getting together with Mark and Ryan next week. It's been YEARS! I'll tell them about your beautiful baby!

Congrats! When your mom said your water broke at the dentist office I was surprised! At least the hospital was close! Glad he was born with no problems!
