White Cliffs Wagon Trail

Before Christmas is over I decided I better finish the posts about our Thanksgiving adventures.  I have just a little while before the kids are out of school for the Christmas Holiday and with a movie on to Babysit Sarah, here goes:

Our Thanksgiving visitors came and went at various days/times depending on their schedules, so not everyone was a part of each of  the fun activities that occurred over those three days, but I believe those that were included had a great time.  The majority of the people I associate with on a daily basis (that are not from Kingman) feel that Kingman doesn't have much to offer and that there isn't anything to do around here.  But as I look back at the pictures of the things we did I believe they are wrong.  There are some very fun things to do when the weather is right and you have a bit of imagination.

The first adventure was a beautiful hike along the White Cliffs Wagon Trail.  Mike had come with his 6 kiddos Tuesday night and by mid morning Wednesday they were ready to get out and explore.

Our goal on this expedition was to see the wagon ruts left behind from an earlier era, find two Geocaches and let some kiddos get their wiggles out.  All goals were accomplished!

Each time that we have been geocaching with Mikes and his kids, Kade seems to be the first to locate the cache.  He's really good at it.  But I am happy to report, I beat him to it! Everyone was looking all around these rocks for the cache, but no one was having any luck.  From my viewpoint on the trail I spotted a fabulous hiding spot and suggested they look under it.  Ta-da, there it was.  Kade was more than happy to reach his hand under the rock to get it, which I am grateful for, so we can share the credit. :)

By the time we had found the geocache and walked to the top of a bluff, some kiddos were getting all tuckered out.  To keep them happy for the walk back to the cars we needed to refuel: snack time!

Or pile time!  John had been collecting these weeds all along our hike and was very happy to finally get to "play" with them.

We had a few in the group who still had some wiggles left in them and were up for more adventure, plus we still had one more geocache to find.

So Mike, Paul, Kade & Abi explored there way to the top of this cliff, while I escorted the rest of the group back to the trail head.  It was a beautiful and fun adventure!
