The Train

Mike and his family were the last of the visitors to be on their way, they have the shortest drive.  They were up for a little more sight seeing, so we joined them for a trip to the Route 66 museum & a visit to the old steam train in downtown Kingman.

My kids (most of them anyway) always enjoy seeing "broken down Hiro" as they affectionately call the train.  And it is always fun to get to share it with someone who hasn't been there before.

John doesn't love the train, he is afraid it will start up and be loud, I haven't convinced him that it can't go anywhere.  He preferred to sit and make a small pile of leaves; something we don't see much of here in Kingman, leaves that is.

I think these two kiddos (above) were being so sweet. Sarah is helping to get something off of John's face.

John & Sarah aren't big museum fans, Paul isn't either, so after a quick look see they headed out to the parking lot and found a great place to watch the trains go by. (Rachel joined them after a bit.)

I love it that Paul enjoys doing the simple things in life along with John and the other kiddos.  My kids don't realize just how lucky they are!
