Exploring and Playing

How do you keep 7 adults and 14 children busy while Thanksgiving dinner is being prepared?  You send half (OK not quite half) of them out of the house of course.

 

My brother Mike is an amateur photographer and he was wanting to get some pictures of old building and cars, so he loaded his suburban with adventurous folks and headed down Route 66 to see what old towns they could stumble across. 

 

Sarah was excited to find "Lizzy".  No, not her sister, the one from Disney/Pixar Cars.

And what do to get the kids to interact and stay out of trouble?  Play of course.  Legos are always a hit.

Even though they were the Duplo blocks, kids of all ages got in on the action of building.  The best part was it was a combined effort of them all working together.

Once it was completed they called John over, counted down from 10 and let John be the wrecking crane.
