Backyard Makeover: Part 4
With all of our backyard landscaping we have been up to we decided to put in a pool . . . a mud pool that is!
With monsoon season here we are getting our share of rain, which I love! And when the afternoon thunderstorm is over our backyard of dirt if filled with mud pools!
I don't much like the mud, but my kiddos LOVE it! In fact they can't seem to get enough of playing in the mud. I have yet to join them in the mud, it looks fun though.
After one particularly large rainstorm we had quite the pool, almost deep enough to swim in.
Regardless of how they choose to play in the mud it is definitely a sensory rich playtime.
And a whole lot of inexpensive summer fun!

Paul & I have become especially good at rinsing kiddos off with the hose before they come in the house and at getting mud out of clothes. Yet, I haven't figured out how to get white underwear white again.

For those inquiring minds: No, this is not a backyard makeover project that will be staying around long term. :) Rather just a short term perk.
