Home Makeover: Part 1

We really like our new house, and for the most part it was "move in ready".  But to make if feel more like our home and let our personalities come through we decided to do some painting.  It has consumed most of our evenings and weekends. And is well worth the speckled hair and late nights.

Paul is the work horse behind the painting projects, while I mostly pick out colors and supervise (keep kids busy and out of the way).

But occasionally Paul has given into the kids pleading and has let them help.

Now the unveiling of our home makeover, room by room.

John's room
This is the room that needed painting the most.  It was the perfect shade of blue for a room devoted to the University of Kentucky.  But really who paints the ceiling royal blue?  It kind of felt like a cave.

Stay tuned for the next episode of the Strong's home makeover. We have one more room almost done, and several more in the color choosing process.
