Every Kid Needs One of These
We went a little over two weeks living in our house before our new refrigerator finally came. And I have decided every child needs to have one of these . . . a new refrigerator that is.
Why you ask? Because they come with the most amazing toy a child could ever own.
A giant box! And if you are lucky the delivery guys will leave the unwanted box from a delivery earlier in the day and then the kiddos get TWO giant boxes.
It gets even better when the imagination of a child, creativity of Mom and engineering of Dad come together because then the kiddos get a tunnel connecting their two giant boxes!
When the delivery guys had the refrigerator off the truck and on the walkway to the front door I said to the kids, "Look at that box. Is that the biggest box you have ever seen?" Their eyes got big and Rachel immediately asked if we could play in it. The delivery guys overheard and asked if we wanted it it and then offered to give us one from a delivery earlier in the day. Thank goodness we have a living room large enough to accommodate two refrigerator boxes! Before the delivery guys left the kids were already setting blankets in one of them and making plans of where they wanted windows and door cut out.
Every kid needs to have one of these, at least once in the life.
