Moving Day
The moving company arrived on Thursday June 30th and began the process of boxing up all of our household goods. The three person crew had 90% of our things packed up by about 4pm. And when they left for the day our house was full of boxes.
Trying to keep four kids out of the line of traffic was a little tricky and kept Paul & I on our toes. We made trips to Walmart, to get lunch, played in the backyard, rode bikes for the last time in the neighborhood, walked to the pond, went to the lake to throw rocks and watched movies on the lap top.
Friday July 1st was "moving day"!
The truck arrived later than planned thanks to the GPS sending the driver across Kentucky highway 92 which required an escort for such a large load to navigate the narrow windy road. There was a tight fit for the truck to turn into our subdivision also. We almost had to take down the stop sign. But he did make it and the long hard process of loading the truck began. Our household items filled the trailer from the very front to just past the open doors in the picture below. It was packed solid from floor to ceiling.
Finally at about 9pm the truck was loaded and we were locking up our house for the last time. If I wasn't so tired and just down right exhausted I think it would have been an emotional moment. But instead I was just glad it was done and we were finally getting on our way.

| I'm sad this picture turned out blurry, the amount of humidity in the air was messing with the focus. |
We created a lot of memories in our "Old Kentucky Home". Goodbye Monticello! Goodbye Kentucky! You will hold a special place in our heart and we will miss you!
