Water Party
When we first told Elizabeth and Rachel that we were moving, Elizabeth expressed a concern that the kids at her new school would know things that she didn't. I assured her I could look into it and that we could help her learn any material she did not know. Rachel's concern was that she would miss her friends. Once Rachel expressed this concern then Elizabeth shared in the concern. So I proposed a plan; they girls could invite some friends over for a "going away party". They liked the idea and it seemed to solve the issue of feeling like they would miss their friends when we moved.
Well this party evolved into a water party. And when I asked the girls who they wanted to invite it was the girls from Girl Scouts. Elizabeth & Rachel counted down the days to their water party, looking forward to it with a lot of excitement. Our party was complete with a slip 'n slide, water hop scotch, sprinkler beach ball, wading pool, around 300 water balloons, Dorritos & dolphin shaped sugar cookies.
I didn't think to take pictures until the girls were pretty much done with paying in the water.
Everyone had a fabulous time being little girls in the water on a beautiful sunny summer afternoon which made saying our final goodbyes a little easier.
