How Does She Do It?

I have begun to notice a trend whenever we get the sidewalk chalk out . . .


Sarah inevitably ends up with her face covered in chalk!


The mystery to me is just does how does she do it? Does she rest her face on her hand while she colors? Does she wipe her chalky hands all over her face? Does she try to eat the chalk? Does she think it is make-up and purposefully color on her face? Does she role her face around on the sidewalk when she is done coloring?


I just don't know. But I do know I love this sweet little chalk covered face non-the less!

haha thats so cute. the other day i drew with chock outside and i came in and looked in the mirror and had chock all over my face to! it seems to just happen magically.

  Grateful for milestones that bring family together...Last Saturday my brothers and I gathered to celebrate our Dad's 80th birthday!!! After 80 years on earth my Dad's body continues to be strong (mostly) while his memory continues to fade. For a man who is a planner and organizer he struggles to live in the moment and be content...I guess when you don't have current memories to reflect on, you dream and imagine your future. Inspite of his current reality we enjoyed a few hours celebrating together, laughing, sharing and watching him relive his glory days with near clarity. Watching him watch himself play football and talk and share about the players and the plays brought out part of my Dad that has been hidden for years!

  There are moments in life when you realize just how blessed you are... celebrating my mom's 80th birthday recently was one of those moments!! Over the years we have moved away from one another, haven't always stayed in close contact with everyone but being together I felt the love that comes from being family! To my mom family is everything and it is her love for us individually that radiates and unites those around her! My mom is a little energizer bunny sharing, serving, living, loving, experiencing, adventureing and enjoying every moment of every day! She definitely is not 80 years old but 80 years loved!!! And on her way to many more!!
