Day with Daddy

One day last week I had to take Elizabeth  to Lexington for a doctor's appointment so Paul took the day off to stay home with the other three kiddos.   John had been begging to go "hiking" so Paul decided to take the kids on an adventure.  They went to Lake Cumberland and Mill Springs.  (It's not really  hiking, but if you are outside, there are rocks, water and you do any amount of walking; John thinks he's hiking.)

Paul, Rachel, John, and Sarah  enjoyed an afternoon of "hiking", throwing rocks in the lake and climbing on the rocks.

We have a new camera and it accidentally got switched to a different setting.  What a beautiful picture.

By the end of the afternoon, the kids were hot and tired but they all said that they wished Dad was home with them everyday. He is more fun than Mom.  It is a good thing I can't be fired, I'm not ready to put together a resume and go job hunting.

my kids say the same thing... daddy is more fun... except when he decides to make them clean :)
