I realized the other day that there are many fun events that my kiddos have been involved in over the last three months that I have not shared. So it is time for this mama to do some catching up on the activities in the life of her four kiddos.
Back in February Elizabeth and Rachel went with their Girl Scout troop to the Exlporium in Lexington, it is a children's museum. They had a great time playing with all of the neat exhibits.

My personal favorite was the bubble room. They had a "bubble wand" that allowed you to blow up the bubble while you were inside of it!

One of the reasons the Girl Scout troop went to the Explorium was to see an art exhibit they were a part of. The girls joined together with thousands around the world in a global art project called The Dream Rocket. "The Dream Rocket project is a large scale collaborative fiber wrap. Up to 8,000 fiber panels will be created by individuals from various regions of the world, and then combined to wrap the Saturn V Moon Rocket in Huntsville, Alabama. The designated theme of the panels, 'Dare to Dream', challenges individuals to expand beyond the present state of the world and imagine the future." Their Girl Scout troop chose to have their panels represent their dreams for the future in the area of "health".

In April, Rachel was in the first grade musical. The did a play entitled Bugz, she was a fire fly. When she first brought home a paper about it I asked if she wanted to be in the musical. She said she did without any hesitation. I was a bit hesitant to have her do it, but I was not going to stop her if she wanted to do it. The closer it got the more excited she was to participate in the musical. And she did a fabulous job as a firefly, blinking her flash light and singing her songs with all of the other kids. And you know she even had a smile on her face and didn't look the least bit nervous to be in front of so many people.

Preschool in Kentucky would not be complete without Derby Day. It is such a fun day for the kids. This year it had been raining the night before and the grass was really wet so it was held indoors. The kids didn't seem to mind. John was very excited to get to ride his horse, Chloe. (It is the same horse I made him a couple of years ago for his first Derby Day. She needed a few repairs but was in good shape.) And of course no derby would be complete without hats!

Unfortunately the battery on my camera died, so no pictures of him running the race, but he had a great time.
And of course we can't forget the antics of Sarah. You just never know what this girl is up to or what she will dream up next. A few weeks ago she had a "boo-boo" above her lip and decided that she needed a band-aid for it. I tried to convince her that it would be fine, but apparently I was not very persuasive because she spent the better part of the day with a Cars band-aid on her upper lip.
