Life is like . . .

I think Forrest Gump says it best, "Life is like a box of chocolates . . . you never know what you're going to get."  Amidst the stress, trials and challenges I find my box of chocolates sprinkled with moments of out right laughter.  They are moments not worth getting upset over because they are moments created out of the innocence of childhood.  And every now and then I am actually able to capture these moments on film where the moment will not be so easily forgotten.  Here are a few from the last several weeks:

We were out to eat (something we rarely do) and when the server brought a pitcher of rootbeer and set in front of John, John quickly picked up his straw and began to drink.

Saturday morning is chore time at the Strong house.  I sent Rachel in to get the towels she was to fold out of the dryer.  She kept complaining that she couldn't reach the ones in the back.  I told her I would be there in a minute to help, but when I got there she was taking matters in her own hands - she had climbed in the dryer to reach the ones in the back.

Ever since John  was a baby he has slept with things over his face or on his head.  The other night I went into check on the kids before I went to bed.  And this is how I found John . . . with a pair of boxer briefs on his head (thank goodness they were clean). I'm still curious to know if he found them somehow clinging to his blanket from being washed or had he gotten out of bed and got them out of his drawer?

If life is truly like a box of chocolates, I think I would like more of this variety in my box!
