Fish & Lawn Tractors
Fish
I'm not much of an animal lover and am definitely not cut out to be a Momma who can handle very much in the way of pets. The only pet that my family has convinced me that we should get is fish. The stipulation is that I do not feed it and do not clean the tank, the kids and Paul have to be responsible to take care of it (I have enough to take care of already). The girls have had our current goldfish, Nemo, for about a year and a half now. It has grown a lot and done very well, thanks to Elizabeth (it is her fish). Well, Rachel has been wanting a fish too but the tank is too little to add another fish to it.
I told the girls we would need to find Nemo a new home and then we can get two new fish. Elizabeth's teacher is interested, but has no tank. I was caught in a good mood and told the teacher she could borrow the tank the fish currently lives in. Wait now we will have no fish and no tank. I think Paul was behind this because he has been wanting to get a bigger fish tank for a long time.
This past Saturday we went to Somerset and paid a visit to Wal-Mart to see how much a new fish tank would cost. We came home with a 5 gallon tank (our other one was just 2.5 gallons) and six new fish (one for each member of the family).
The kids were very excited to get the new tank set up and watch the little fishies swim around. I have to admit they are pretty fun to watch.
Do you have any idea how hard it was to get a picture with all six fish in it? I finally got one! I will introduce you to the newest additions to the Strong house: (from left to right) Fred, Coral, Wilma, Ramone, Diamond & Baby. And in case you are wanting to know the fish are adjusting to their new home very well.
Lawn Tractors
We have a new system to get the lawn mowed quicker; Paul uses the push mower to go around the trees, garden and other smaller spaces while I hop on the lawn tractor. While I was mowing this last Saturday Sarah wanted to ride along with me. I was about half way done when I noticed her little head was bobbing around and she felt very relaxed. She had fallen asleep!

Not real sure how she could sleep with the noise of the lawn tractor, but then again I think it must be the ultimate in "white noise". She woke up when I pulled the lawn tractor in the shed and turned the engine off. As we were walking back to the house I asked her if she took a little nap and she says, "No, I not sleep."
