A Change in Perspective

I came across something yesterday that I want to share with you fellow Mom's who do so much for those little ones in your homes. Being a Mom is by far the hardest thing I have ever attempted to do.  There are days that I feel like the word "Mommy" is a swear word, I wonder if it is all of this worth it and I want to give my 2 weeks notice and quit.  Thank goodness for the little moments each day when I can regain my perspective, and remember that Motherhood is an Eternal Partnership.  (In case you don't know, just click on the purple words to view the video clip).

Thanks Tracy... that was a great little video! I know that we are on the errand of the Lord while raising our children. Sometimes it is hard, sometimes I want to give up too... sometimes I wonder why in the world I had kids... but I know they are Heavenly Father's children too! We can get through this with the help of our Savior and other mom's around us!

  Grateful for milestones that bring family together...Last Saturday my brothers and I gathered to celebrate our Dad's 80th birthday!!! After 80 years on earth my Dad's body continues to be strong (mostly) while his memory continues to fade. For a man who is a planner and organizer he struggles to live in the moment and be content...I guess when you don't have current memories to reflect on, you dream and imagine your future. Inspite of his current reality we enjoyed a few hours celebrating together, laughing, sharing and watching him relive his glory days with near clarity. 80 Years Loved

  There are moments in life when you realize just how blessed you are... celebrating my mom's 80th birthday recently was one of those moments!! Over the years we have moved away from one another, haven't always stayed in close contact with everyone but being together I felt the love that comes from being family! To my mom family is everything and it is her love for us individually that radiates and unites those around her! My mom is a little energizer bunny sharing, serving, living, loving, experiencing, adventureing and enjoying every moment of every day! She definitely is not 80 years old but 80 years loved!!! And on her way to many more!!   Feeling all the feels today as we send Rachel on her way to serve the Lord as one of His full-time missionaries for the next 18 months, sharing His love and the message of His restored gospel to the people in the Ohio Columbus Mission!!!
