Summer Vacation

I feel like it has been forever since my last post. It has only been a few weeks, but those few weeks have been packed with lots of very fun things - SUMMER VACATION!!

We were gone for 18 days,
spent 86 hours and 36 minutes in the car,
drove 4, 699 miles,
visited 11 states,
went through 3 times zones,
ate 150+ tootsie rolls,
listened to 8 Magic Tree House audio books,
memorized the lyrics to 17 songs from the High School Muscial Soundtracks,
swam or wadded in 3 pools, 1 lake and 1 river,
saw 7 different species of wildlife,
explored 1 National Memorial and 2 National Parks,
took 349 pictures,
survived 2 sessions of family pictures,
hugged 4 Grandparents and 1 Great Grandma,
played with 17 cousins,
visited with 10 Aunts & Uncles (of our kids),
went to 2 temples,
and had 1 child baptized.

I've been spending the last 4 days trying to get used to being home and back to the routine of daily life. With all of this said, I hope to find a few minutes here and there to create a few (probably many) posts of our vacation. I have a feeling that they will not come all at once but in installments over the next several weeks.

Glad we got to see you and that you are home safe and sound... I will be updating my blog in bits and pieces too!
Whoa! What an amazing trip. It was fun to see pictures- some of them we have duplicates of, just our family (we went to Yellowstone a few summers back). James and Amanda have moved to Valdosta, GA for the next three years and I'm really hoping to get a cross-country trip in to see them, and some of the things you saw on the way! Your kids are beautiful!
