Tooth Fairy Magic
The tooth fairy made another trip to our house last night. The first of many to come for Rachel.
Rachel has had this loose tooth for a very long time now. She never cared much for wiggling it. I think the only time it got wiggled was when I would do it for her. And that was few and far between because she would show a great amount of theatrics when I would.
Last night I was wiggling it again and she was putting on a good show of how painful it was. I could tell it was getting so close, if she would just give me a chance. The convincing moment was when I told her she would get a gold dollar from the tooth fairy when her tooth came out. Not a minute later she was laying on the couch head in my lap perfectly still and no screams coming out of her mouth. I gave that tooth a firm push for the count of 6 and low and behold we were half way done. One more little push, and Rachel said, "Tell me when you get it out." I said, "It is already out," and handed it to her.
She was so excited to have a tooth to leave for the tooth fairy! And to be able to get a gold dollar!
As Rachel was getting into bed she began to be very curios about this famous little fairy: What does she do with the teeth? What does she look like? So,she wrote her a note. And low and behold she received a picture and a note in return.
When Rachel woke up this morning she was more excited to have a picture of the tooth fairy than she was the money.
