Home For Sale

Do you ever wonder sometimes why people go to all of the effort to go to college, earn a degree and then work in a field where there doesn't appear to be a connection with that degree? I actually find it rather fascinating. When people ask Paul what his degree is, he lets out a little laugh and then says, "Construction Management". I suppose he doesn't see the connection with his degree and his current job position which falls under the category of manufacturing engineer.

But every now and then he gets to put his hard work and knowledge gained in construction management to good use. Most recently he was able to do so when he accompanied Elizabeth and Rachel to a Daddy-Daughter night at Girl Scouts; to build bird houses.

He had to manage (mostly assist) his two daughter as they built a bird house from a kit that was provided by the Division of Fish and Wildlife.

Paul fit the pieces together, put the nail in place and let the girls whack away with their hammers. There were lots of bent nails but no smashed fingers.

And now we have two beautiful bird houses to set around the yard, with "For Sale" signs attached to welcome Mr. & Mrs. Blue Bird.
