Valentine Tea Party
For Christmas Elizabeth received a "Fancy Nancy Tea Party" book from Grandma Strong.
After reading it, she asked if we could have a real tea party. I said, "Sure, who do you want to invite?" She said, "Just the family." So I suggested that we do it for Valentines day. She began to place little sticky notes on the pages of the things that she wanted to do, we made a grocery list of the things we needed to buy and our tea party began to take shape.
I preparation for the tea party, Elizabeth made fliers and hung them all over the house so we would all know about it.
Then about a week before she made each of us our very own invitation to the party. I had no idea that this was going to turn into such a big deal.
She made fancy place mats, turned plain plastic utensils into something fancy, bought frilly toothpicks and little umbrellas, made heart shaped Tea Sandwiches, Strawberry & Grape Swirls, Lollipop Bouquets, Crunchy Munchy Crudites, Delectable Fruit Kebabs, Festive Fondue, and Strawberries Supreme.

The table was set and we were all ready for a fabulous tea party!
John immediately went to his lidless drink and began to suck his pick lemonade through his little umbrella. He thought it was a straw.
Neither John or Sarah cared much for all of the cute, yummy food, they just played in their drinks. Sarah liked the ice best.
Elizabeth & Rachel were the perfect little princesses at the party, enjoying all of the little food, umbrellas and doilies.
It was a wonderful way to spend Valentines day with the ones I love the most! Thanks Elizabeth for a fun afternoon.
