Thank You Santa!

'Twas the night before Christmas . . .
when we were getting ready for bed,

In hopes that St. Nicholas would fill up his sled.

The stockings were placed on the couch with care,
So Santa could fill them with socks and underwear.

And what to our wondrous delight,
He came while we were sleeping just before midnight.

Ma'ma and Pa'pa were sound asleep,
When at 4:30 two girls came in to ask,
"Can we sneak a peak."

Back to bed we sent them for a short while,
To wait a little longer,
For the gifts that would bring a smile.

At 6am when all in the house were awake,
We began to give each present a good shake.

The ripping and tearing of paper went quick,

Until everything was open lickety split!

Then the pile of paper went out in the trash,
So we each could play and enjoy our stash!

Thank you dear Santa for all the nice stuff,
Everyone received just enough.
