Christmas Cookies
As a little girl I remember that Christmas in the Andruski house was never complete without making sugar cookies. I have such fond memories of making this once a year special treat. As much as I loved making and eating the cookies, it is not a tradition that I continue with my children.
Well this year I had a change of heart, mostly because we had oodles of candy left over from making gingerbread houses with the Girl Scouts which I figured would go great on giant size Christmas tree cookies.

With the kids out of school and Paul off from work we spent the better part of the day in this fun and messy activity.

The creative energy and love of candy was flying high around our house.

I know my kids and know that when they "create" stuff goes all over. We did our best to keep the "creating" to the table, faces and fingers.

Each of us had our special part to play in the cookie adventure, even as taste tester!
In a reminiscent sort of way I now feel like the Christmas season is complete.
But I think I will keep this activity to the spontaneous activity rather than tradition.
