Time for the Tooth Fairy!!
For several years now Elizabeth has been anxiously wanting to know when she was going to lose a tooth. Well, it finally happened!!!!

Although she isn't "toothless"; several months ago she told me that she felt something funny in her mouth. When I looked, I discovered that her permanent tooth was coming in behind her baby tooth, that was just barely loose. Not only did she have one tooth do this but two. I told her she was a shark, with multiply rows of teeth.

I feared that the Dentist would have to pull the baby teeth. To my surprise and delight the Dentist told Elizabeth to wiggle, wiggle, wiggle that tooth to see if she could get it to come out on its own and he would evaluate things at her next appointment in 6 months. So she has been faithfully wiggling that tooth and enlisting the help of Mom and Dad to wiggle that tooth for her. And finally it happened!

Now she awaits her first visit from the tooth fairy. She wanted to put her tooth in the tooth pillow that my Grandma Sue had made for me when I was little. It was cute to watch her carry the tooth around in her hand until it was time to go to bed. She very thoughtfully picked a spot to put the tooth pillow and then carefully placed the tooth inside the pocket, keeping the opening wide open so it would be easy for the tooth fairy to get the tooth out.

It was fun to listen to her and Rachel talk: "The tooth fairy won't come until everyone in the house is asleep and it is dark." "Does the tooth fairy walk? or fly" "How big is the tooth fairy?"
Life is so simple, fun, and magical when seen through the eyes of a child.
