Changes in the bus route

We finally had gotten the school drop-off and pick-up schedule figured out and then on Tuesday we added another stop on our morning "Mommy Bus" route. It was John's first day of preschool.

He is at the same preschool and has the same teachers he had in the spring. So two days a week he will get to go to school and be like the big kids. He seems to really be enjoying it more than he did in the spring. He grew up a lot this summer. If only I could get the kid to go potty on the toilet. (sigh!)

Poor John had to go to the first day of school looking like he had been in a boxing match.

On Monday right as Paul was about to open his birthday presents, John got a little too excited to get to help rip off the paper and was bouncing around and fell and hit the corner of the coffee table. It was one of those times that you don't wait for the kid to cry before you step in and help. I saw it happen and knew what was coming, a lot of pain. It swelled up and bruised right away. Today the swelling was mostly gone, but it sure is colorful. I am just grateful that he hit the spot next to his eye rather than the eye ball and I am so glad that our coffee table does not have sharp corners. He's a tough little dude!

John looks like a big boy! I can not believe how fast they grow. I remember when Kade busted his head open... but he did not have school the next day... poor little guy! Toot-toot... here comes the mommy bus!
