Business in the Bathroom
We have been talking for a long time about painting the kids' bathroom and possibly the girls' room. I have had paint chips taped to the bathroom wall for a couple of months to help me decide on the color.
I had a wild hair last Thursday, or maybe I was tired of looking at a whole house painted pale green,(some days I feel like I am trapped inside a mint chocolate chip ice cream container without the chocolate). . .
. . .and when Paul came home from work asked him if he wanted to spend his day off painting. To my delight he said yes, (the ditch he wanted to dig will have to wait) and after dinner we headed to Lowes.
We bought our paint and other necessary painting supplies and first thing Friday morning Paul set to work preparing the bathroom to be painted.
It amazes me at how patient he is to have the kids at his feet helping him.
About half way through the bathroom job on Friday Paul asks me if we should paint the girls’ room too. I jumped at the offer and didn’t give him a chance to change his mind. We were off to Lowes for the second evening in a row. The girls could not agree on a color so I finally had to chose something for them and ask them for their yes or no approval. Once Paul told the girls they could help him paint I don’t think they cared so much about the color anymore.
We absolutely love the results!!
There is just one little problem with our business that started in the bathroom. . . . It is spreading to every room in the house; more paint chips are taped to the walls!
