Good Bye Jello Hair!
I have been struggling to know what to do with John's hair. He has gorgeous hair but it drives me crazy. The back where he leans up against the couch or car seat has a constant "bed head" appearance. The other day when he came in from playing in the gravel, his scalp was covered in tiny pieces of gravel - but you couldn't see any of it because his hair is so thick. It took at least two good hair washes and a lot of scrubbing to remove all of the gravel. John's hair will stick up like an Afro, so in order to prevent this in the morning when I comb it I have to slick it flat to his head like Draco Malfoy. And one day when he was sitting at the table Paul walked by and brushed his hand across John's hair and it had the resemblance of Jello. It would bounce right back with a little wiggle and giggle. With summer here we began to feel sorry for the poor kid as we watched his hair get all sweaty whenever he played outside . . . so we decided it was time for a hair cut.

Look at all that hair!
and After!!!
All I can say, is this was all Paul's doing!!!
Well, Paul decided that perhaps the Mr. T look was a little outdated so he tried again. Thank goodness!
What has happened? My little boy has hair like the Who's from Whoville!
Paul decided he better just give John a flat top. But once he was done John gathered up all the hair clippings and put them back on his head. I guess he didn't want such short hair, he liked the mohawk.
I think John did end up liking the final cut because when he looked in the mirror and saw his very short hair he smiled!
Much Better!!!
