Happy Birthday Elizabeth!

Elizabeth turned 7 years old this past Wednesday! She chose to just have a party with the family, so things were pretty simple. Cheese pizza for dinner, followed by cake & ice cream and presents. She wanted an orange LEGO cake, so as "good" Mom I did my best.

Paul & I gave her a LEGO house set. She is doing a great job putting it together. She is following nicely in her Dad's footsteps to becoming a master LEGO builder.

Wow 7! Can she really be that old? I think so, because I have the grey hairs to prove it! (I think I will be totally grey by the time she turns 16). She keeps us on our toes, but is a joy to have in our family. We are very grateful Heavenly Father sent her to us!

I can't believe you have a 7yr old, and only have a one year old. However, #2 is on its way in Sept.

  Grateful for milestones that bring family together...Last Saturday my brothers and I gathered to celebrate our Dad's 80th birthday!!! After 80 years on earth my Dad's body continues to be strong (mostly) while his memory continues to fade. For a man who is a planner and organizer he struggles to live in the moment and be content...I guess when you don't have current memories to reflect on, you dream and imagine your future. Inspite of his current reality we enjoyed a few hours celebrating together, laughing, sharing and watching him relive his glory days with near clarity. Watching him watch himself play football and talk and share about the players and the plays brought out part of my Dad that has been hidden for years!

  There are moments in life when you realize just how blessed you are... celebrating my mom's 80th birthday recently was one of those moments!! Over the years we have moved away from one another, haven't always stayed in close contact with everyone but being together I felt the love that comes from being family! To my mom family is everything and it is her love for us individually that radiates and unites those around her! My mom is a little energizer bunny sharing, serving, living, loving, experiencing, adventureing and enjoying every moment of every day! She definitely is not 80 years old but 80 years loved!!! And on her way to many more!!
