Sarah's First Birthday

Well, I've joined the world of blogging and we'll see how it goes, if I can figure this all out. The first post is about a first that just happened at our house, Sarah's first birthday.

She turned 1 last Thursday, where did all the time go? A year ago we were holding a cudley not so little newborn and now we chase after a crawling, walking, climbing toddler. We have enjoyed having Sarah as part of our family and enjoyed celebrating with her. Her birthday was simple cake and presents. On Wednesday we tried to practice blowing out her candles but all she wanted to do was touch the flame. When it came time to blow out that candle on the cake she just stared at it, in amazement. So we had to help her blow out the candle.

This was her cake to enjoy and destroy. Her favorite part was the frosting.

And by the time she was thru she was ready for a bath. How fun to be one and be allowed to eat cake with your hands and not care that it is all over your face, lap, sleeves and even in the hair.
