Following Tracks

We woke up Sunday to a light blanket of beautiful snow. There were animal tracks across the back deck leading down the steps, across the retaining wall of the flower
bed and into the yard. The kids were so excited to see snow they had to go out and of course wanted to follow the tracks to see where they went.

They were led across the yard and to the neighbors yard, where they stopped at the down spout. Liz had to get her "animal tracks" sheet she got at school to figure out what kind of animal they were tracking. It was only a common house cat.

Yes, John is in his PJ's and the girls are wearing skirts (they had started getting ready for church, which was cancelled.) And yes, those are curlers in Elizabeth's hair. The chilly 10 degree air did not stop their fun.

The magic of childhood! They don't let a little cold weather or wardrobe keep them from having a good time.

I am glad that our ward is not the only one to cancel church because of snow/ice. Although we did not cancel at all this year, except for the ward Christmas Party.

Looks like the kids had lots of fun hunting those tracks! Miss you!
